About Tephra
We are Tephra from Dresden.
Tephra stands for modern death metal with influences from metalcore, djent, and post-black metal.
Tephra's sound is characterized by driving guitar rhythms that combine with progressive basslines and heart-rending vocals to create a dark, menacing atmosphere.
Founded in 2022, the band has already shared the stage with bands like Monosphere, For I Am King, Haven, and Thalakist. Tephra released their first EP, 'Rising Tide,' in March 2025. Their new single 'Drained' followed in June 2026 and was also released as a music video.
